Equipment Cleaner | Sanitation Dept | Bakery

Position Details:

An established industrial bakery is looking for a reliable Sanitation Worker to join their sanitation department. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in industrial cleaning and be familiar with sanitation procedures, equipment, and chemical handling in a food-production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, tools, and work areas
• Perform deep cleaning of mixers, ovens, conveyors, and other bakery equipment
• Use approved chemicals safely and follow proper dilution, storage, and handling procedures
• Follow sanitation schedules and maintain logs and documentation
• Remove waste, clean floors, and ensure all areas meet HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards
• Assist with equipment disassembly/reassembly for cleaning when required
• Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure a clean and safe environment

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• 1+ year of experience in sanitation (food manufacturing or industrial cleaning preferred)
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation procedures, and safe handling practices
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical/repetitive tasks
• Understanding of GMP, HACCP, and workplace safety standards (an asset)
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
