Job Summary
We are looking for energetic people who have a passion for working outdoors in all types of weather (landscaping or construction projects). The ideal candidate would be someone who would like to grow with our company and offer opportunities for advancement and have a minimum of one year operating a mini excavator, Skid Steers (mini truck loaders) and other equipment.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Work with foreman on job site to install permanent and temporary fencing and assist with excavation in accordance with the project specifications
• Have experience in operating machinery like mini excavators and skid steers
• Perform a variety of general construction labor work as required on the job site as needed
• Produce high quality work
• Complete projects in estimated hours
• Complete jobs using a variety of tools and equipment safely and effectively as trained and required: power tools, tampers, cut-off saws
• Complete all assigned work safely and effectively
• Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order and complete minor maintenance as required, document any issues as they arise
• Providing exceptional customer service and maintaining positive working relationships with customers and coworkers
• Participate in all training and performance reviews required by the Company
• Assist in the loading and unloading of materials
• Be able to follow instructions as provided by Supervisor while completing tasks with high-quality results and in assigned time frames
• Compliance with WSIB regulations to complete assigned work safely and effectively
• Pursue ongoing education sponsored by the Company as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Knowledge of construction is required
• Must have a valid Class G Drivers License (required).
• Must be able to provide a clean drivers abstract (required).
• Minimum 1 year excavation experience (required).
• Have excellent attendance, punctuality, and dependability
• Be self-motivated, take initiative and be keen to learn new skills
